Map with 500 photo spots
Map with 500 spots
Open Street Map (precisely: a link to the map) with more than 500 photo spots in Switzerland.
Each spot has an example image and GPS with more or less 20m precision. With that, you can easily find the composition and take a similar or a better one! I add only places that I have visited and photographed.
Each photography spot:
Example photo
GPS coordinates and a link to Google Maps
Link to SwissTopo maps for planing a hike
Link to PeakFinder to determine sunrise and sunset
Link to the weather forecast
Plus 50 hotels with stunning views marked on the map.
Landscape and travel photography inspiration
Photography spots are for landscape and travel photographers. Besides that, I also include spots for bird photography and insights about wildlife photography.
This map can be opened in a browser on any device: smartphone, laptop or iPad.
With this link, you will have lifetime access to all future updates.
If you just want to explore Switzerland briefly and do not take photography seriously, I encourage you to buy the map with just 150 photo spots.
Small disclaimer: I do not share any spots that are on blue trails (alpine walks/mountaineering) nor places off the trail (that would be irresponsible for nature).
Avis
SwissPhotoSpots was an incredible companion on my journey across Switzerland! It led me to breathtaking hidden places — from crystal lakes to majestic mountain trails, that I’d never have discovered on my own. It reignited my passion for photography and the outdoors, inspiring me to explore more and connect deeply with nature. Highly recommended to anyone who loves adventure and scenic beauty!
I find it very convenient that the photospots are linked to sites, allowing to instantly check the GPS location and weather. Since I haven't used it in Switzerland yet, I can't evaluate the accuracy of the coordinates. It was a bit inconvenient that the icon descriptions, which pop up when I right-clicked, were not in English. I'm looking forward to seeing more photos and locations added in the future and offer my support. I would like to give it 4 stars becasue of language inconvinience
It's worth buying the map. It provides exactly the information I need about each spot. No nonsense, just facts. The price is reasonable for what it offers. Of course, the tips are one-sided, reflecting the author's opinion. I would be interested to know whether the map will be updated and whether existing buyers will receive an update. In any case, thank you for your great work.
A lot of gems among the locations I'm familiar with. Links to weather forecasts and Swiss Topo are the best. I bought it when it was 320 points, now it is more than 500.
